Happily Ever After
"If fairytales were perfect, then happily ever after wouldn't come at the end." I have always been a perfectionist! I love things organized, I want things to turn out the way that I see them, things just have to be "just right!" But I have found that I am not perfect...shocker, I know. Nothing is perfect and that is okay. Our imperfections actually make us who were are...they make us...us! Who would watch a movie where there was no trial to get through? It would be boring! What makes a fairytale a fairytale is the big obstacle in the way...For Beauty is was coming to love the Beast and ultimately protecting him. For Aurora it was discovering who she was and conquering Malificent...For Hercules it was coming to grips with who he really was and who he was meant to be...For Cinderella it was overcoming a life full of negative words and actions by her stepfamily...None of these stories are perfect. Not everything goes right...and that is why we watch them. Without that great obstacle in the way, happily ever after would not have the same meaning. So just remember, being perfect does not make us who we are. Being imperfect does and with it our "Happily Ever After!"
